On the occasion of the 30th anniversary (9.-10 August) of the international competition of street painters in Geldern (Germany) Edgar Mueller will paint a large-sized, three-dimensional picture once more. He will create a scenery appearing apocalyptic which invites the observer for proceeding in the picture.

It was the need to not only give life to a 3D painting, but also faithfully convey the spirit of Johnnie Walker Green Label to the
audience. In addition, communications are critical in a cross-border project like this one. One sip and it feels as if you are immediatly
transported to the beautiful sceneries in the scottish Highlands. To convoy this message has been a welcomed challenge for us.
SaskWater is once again sponsoring Street Art, an art form popular in Europe for centuries and only starting to make its way into North America. Internationally renowned 3D artist Edgar Mueller will be coming from Germany to give a workshop to local artists, during which he will create his own vibrant masterpiece on River Street. I did it and was very satisfied with the result. The workshop was kind of easy - the artists took only a couple of hours to get the math and constructions behind the technic of creating anamorphic pictures. After they've got the 'mysthic' they create their own optical illusion artwork.
Imagine a situation like this: You are crossing a
street and look at a huge billboard which seems
distorted. While you are passing the street the
distortion dissolves and you feel like being
transformed into an unexpected, fascinating illusion.
To create this illusion, we and the telford-art-team,
have done a challenging job. One we have never done
before.
